For the first time, True Mentors has hired a full-time executive director.  Katie Eades will take over the position previously held by Board Member and volunteer, James Sproule. Sproule will continue to serve on the Board. Katie recently moved to Hoboken after living in Chicago where she spent 7 years service at-risk high school students. Katie’s appointment coincides with the launch of True Mentors’ new website which makes it more user friendly for volunteers and donors. This organization does ahhh-mazing work for the children in our community, we’re so happy to hear about the great things happening for them.

Jack-and-co-inside

^inside of Jack & Co pictured on their website! So cute!

In January, Clinton Social closed for renovations and announced a new partnership with downtown-spot Jack’s Cabin. The partnership has lead to a new name, new vibe, and new menu at Jack & Co. Their new website launched this past week and gave us a chance to check out their cocktail and extensive beer list. The food menu has a combo of starters, sandwiches, soups, salads, and a few main entrees. Jack & Co is located at 700 Clinton Street. Have you been? Looking forward to checking it out! The only thing we are NOT happy about is that they no longer have the goat cheese pierogies — we’re hoping that they didnt take away the 4-cheese grilled cheese and sweet T menu, too.
